Coconut Oil Face Wash With Tienlyn Jacobson

Last Updated on June 1, 2023 by Kapuluan

A woman in a gray bikini standing on a beach with the sunlit ocean in the background. she has long hair and is looking to the side with a thoughtful expression.

At Kapuluan, we have shown many coconut oils the benefits and ways to use coconut oil in your routine. In addition, aany people have asked us about using coconut oil as a face wash. So naturally, we’ve teamed up with Tienlyn Jacobson again to talk about why a coconut oil facewash is good for your skin and some tips that she does to maximize its effectiveness.

Coconut Oil Facewash – Why?

  1. Coconut oil is the most effective way to remove makeup; if you’ve tried it, you probably have already thrown out all of your makeup remover wipes. None needed.
  2. Coconut oil doesn’t dry out your skin; it prevents your skin from overproducing oil.
  3. Coconut oil is a natural antiseptic. So if you get a lot of breakouts, it’s helpful for that, and it also ends up being helpful to reduce redness and rosacea.

Coconut Oil Facewash – Which to use?

Make sure to use high-quality coconut oil that’s raw-, cold-pressed, and has to be organic – no extra ingredients and chemicals, please.

Coconut Oil Facewash – How to wash?

We recommend double washing; have you heard of it? It’s exactly like it sounds – wash, rinse, repeat. Because coconut oil is gentle and effective, it’s perfect for double washing.

Step 1:

Put a small amount of coconut oil in your hands.

*Tip: if coconut oil is solid, rub it in your palm until it becomes a liquid.

Step 2:

Apply coconut oil to your face just like a cleanser with a circular motion, then rinse with water.

Step 3:

Repeat process.

*Tip: take a warm washcloth and let sit for 10-15 seconds before you rinse and use a towel to remove any excess.

And that’s it; try it out for yourself!
