Beauty Uses For Coconut Oil During Pregnancy w/ Hayley Paige

We’ve teamed up with Hayley Paige, who is in her third trimester of pregnancy, to discuss how she uses Kapuluan Coconut Oil during pregnancy

Stretch Marks

Of course, one of the worst parts that can come with pregnancy is stretch marks left behind on your body. Stretch marks are caused because of sudden stretching of the skin. In addition, there are marks left behind on the outside layer, called the epidermis, and scars that are a bit deeper in the dermis layer.

One of the most significant benefits of coconut oil is that, unlike other creams, the oil can absorb a bit deeper into the dermis, which gives you a better chance of having a positive effect on your stretch marks. So, coconut oil is perfect for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy.

We recommend applying it to your stretch mark areas after you shower when your skin is clean and absorbing. As Hayley mentioned, don’t forget about your boobs; as they grow during pregnancy, they can also cause stretch marks there!

Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover

Hormones! Many women complain that they have breakouts on their usually clear skin during pregnancy. Because you’re also conscious of what types of products you’re using, you don’t want toxic commercial cleansers that you’re not used to. How do you know it’s safe? This is where coconut oil can come in!

Kapuluan Coconut Oil is 100% Raw Organic, so it’s the most natural way to cleanse your skin.

If you wear lots of makeup during the day, it’s also a perfect way to remove all your makeup without scrubbing your face. We’ve all gone through trying to get that mascara off with a towel. Painful!

Coconut Oil has been shown to remove eye makeup more quickly and with less rubbing while creating a much healthier option for skin than synthetic and chemical concoctions. It’s also uber-hydrating, a bonus for what’s often the first place on the face to show lines and wrinkles.

Use in the Shower to Shave Legs

We love this one! You might be thinking – when I’m pregnant, I don’t care about shaving my legs anymore… but for those who do, using coconut oil during pregnancy to shave your legs is highly moisturizing and leaves your legs feeling super smooth. You also don’t need much, and it provides a close shave.

Too many other things might get irritated during pregnancy; you don’t need shaving to cause more irritation. Instead, try out coconut oil for the perfect shave.

Hair Mask

Another thing many women face is that pregnancy can change the texture of their hair. If your changing hormones result in newfound frizz, try coconut oil to tame them! Either uses coconut oil as a hair mask or, as Hayley did, use coconut oil on the ends of your hair to prevent breakage and keep hair healthy. If your hair is dehydrated, leave the coconut oil mask on longer; better yet, you can wrap your hair in a towel and leave it for longer, then rinse.

Coconut Oil for Babies

Lastly, Hayley mentioned using coconut oil once her baby is born for baby massages. There are many benefits of coconut oil for all-natural, safe baby use; we’ll write an article about that soon.
